36 - If you could have any last name in the world, what would you want? Well being as my last name means Magistrate in Scottish as well as Irish, I'm pretty satisfied.  However Lee is a good, strong name.

39 - Who is your role-model? Well I have MANY role models.  One of them is Robert E Lee, another is John Paul Jones.

Sorry I haven't been posting but, I've been extremely busy.   Like to busy to finnish a book.

The Pirate City

 In the early eighteen hundreds Algiers is under the rule of Turkey, and is commonly ruled by a magistrate called a Dey or a Bey.  The Dey is elected by the majority of their party, and is deposed when the Dey looses favor in the court and assassinated by a magistrate with a large body of followers.  Sometimes when the leader of the party has less followers than another Magistrate he is "deposed".  Sometimes there were three different Deys in one day.

  In Algiers there where four types of people, one was the pure blooded Turks, who had more power than the rest of the populace.  Next where the Moors, or Maurie, who where descended from Turks who married the natives of the Barbary Coast when they colonized the area.  Then there were Jews, who were treated with as much contempt as the Christians, but were not enslaved because they stimulated the economy with their merchandise.  Lastly, there were Christians, which meant any European or American.  The Christians were enslaved and held until they were ransomed.

  There were also Consuls representing the European Nations who submitted to the tyranny of the Muslims, and paid an annual fee for safe passage in the Mediterranean, and the freeing of their slaves.   Among these was Colonel Langley of great Britain.  Great Britain, the mistress of the sea, being too busy killing off other nations  in Europe to deal with this minuscule hotspur in the Mediterranean

  That being said our heroes the Rimini Family two boys, Lucien and Mariano, and their father Francisco, are captured by Barbary Corsairs.   On the way to Algiers, their cruel captor, Sidi Hassan, also intercepts a ship conveying two sisters Paulina Ruffini on her way to meet her husband, and Angela Diego accompanying her, who Mariano takes a liking to.
  Arriving at Algiers, the Pirate haven of the Mediterranean, Sidi Hassan sends the Rininis to the slave yard and presents the sisters to the reining Dey Achmet, who sends the elder Paulina to his Harem to assist his wives, and Angela he gives to Hassan.
 Hassan being disinterested in Angela takes her to the slave market, where coincidently, Mariano is working.  Mariano seeing his captor bashes his guard in the nose and tackles Hassan before being knocked senseless  by the other guards.  When Hassan wakes up he is greeted by Bacri, a rich Jew and friend to the Riminis.  Bacri offers him twice the amount of money usually paid for a normal slave and takes her home.
  That night Bacri visits the Riminis and warns Mariano to control his temper and submit lest all of them suffer, and tells him that Angela is safe.
  As the story progresses, the reader is introduced to characters like Ted Flaggan, and Rais Ali, and Padre Giovonie, who play important roles in this story. The reader is also exposed to the evil plots of Sidi Omar and Sidi Hammet, who each want the uneasy throne for themselves.

I hope to have this one up before long.
Oh and after thanksgiving don't expect me to post much until spring.  Maybe one or two posts.
